About the position

The Maintenance Technician I at Sandyplace Apartment Homes is responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the apartment community, including buildings, landscaping, amenities, and parking areas. This role involves assisting with essential maintenance tasks such as repairs, carpentry, electrical work, painting, landscaping, pool maintenance, and plumbing under the guidance of experienced technicians. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to manage work orders using technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily upkeep and cleanliness of buildings, landscaping, amenities, parking lot, and trash areas.
• Assist with essential maintenance duties including repairs, carpentry, electrical, painting, landscaping, pool maintenance, and plumbing tasks.
• Manage work orders using technology.
• Ensure the maintenance of onsite amenities such as the community lounge, fitness center, athletic court, picnic area, and pool.

Requirements

• One year of experience in a Housekeeping Porter position or previous maintenance technician experience in property management for commercial or multi-family properties is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall installation and repairs, and flooring installation and repair is required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate a pressure washer and golf cart.
• Reliable transportation capable of transporting necessary tools, including power washing equipment.
• Possess a current and valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Janitorial experience is preferred.
• Pool maintenance experience is preferred.
• Experience operating a pressure washer.
