The Field Service Engineer position is a critical role within TTG Imaging Solutions, focusing on the installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of advanced imaging equipment, including PET, PET/CT, CT, SPECT, and SPECT/CT. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanics, electronics, optics, and computer systems, as well as a commitment to cultivating superior customer relations to ensure contract stability and continued success. The engineer will be responsible for servicing imaging equipment in a field-based, customer-facing role, which involves installing, servicing, maintaining, and modifying equipment at various customer sites. In this role, the engineer will routinely check on the customer base to ensure client satisfaction and address any unresolved issues, providing prompt and courteous service and support at all times. Effective communication with customers, team members, and management is essential, as the engineer will need to relay customer feedback, competitive insights, and sales leads to the appropriate account manager. The engineer will also provide real-time and follow-up customer support, accurately diagnosing problems, creating repair strategies, and performing necessary repairs while also training customers on the basic features and functions of the instruments and software. The position requires timely responses to service issues, managing and prioritizing work to meet both internal and external customer demands. The engineer will perform system installations, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, refurbishing, routine maintenance, and validation, all while complying with applicable regulatory guidelines and maintaining performance standards as indicated by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Continuous training and certification for serviced systems are also required, along with adherence to Quality Management Procedures (QMI) and Work Instructions (WI) as set by the Quality Management Systems (QMS). The physical demands of the job include the ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb stairs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The work environment is diverse, taking place in hospitals, clinics, and physician offices, and may involve exposure to potentially dangerous materials, requiring adherence to extensive safety precautions. The schedule may be unpredictable, and travel may be extensive, necessitating a valid driver's license and the ability to drive in various weather conditions.
