About the position

The position is primarily responsible for problem resolution and preventative maintenance on large semiconductor fabrication equipment. The role involves modifying, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing highly complex capital equipment at customer premises inside a cleanroom environment. The technician will represent the company to customers, ensuring satisfaction with service performance and coordinating actions to maximize production time.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot technical equipment problems
  • Repair and modify equipment at customer facility
  • Repair board level problems using standard procedures and system level failures with no standard procedures
  • Provide guidance and technical assistance to other field service engineers
  • Conduct customer orientation on equipment user applications
  • Cross train and assist other field service engineers as appropriate
  • Prepare/document reports on support activity to customers
  • Provide timely billing invoice to customer for service activity

Requirements

  • Bachelor's level degree or work experience of 3-5 years or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience in related field of expertise

Nice-to-haves

  • Expertise in KLA specific equipment such as Bright Field, PUMA, SWIFT, FILMS/Spectra, RAPID/Reticle equipment
