About the position

The Field Service Manager at RDO Equipment Co. is responsible for efficiently managing and coordinating the schedules of Field Service Technicians while ensuring timely invoicing of work orders. This role involves direct communication with customers regarding quotes, job status, and scheduling, as well as collaboration with other departments to meet customer and employee needs. The manager will lead field service operations, mentor technicians, and maintain a positive work environment focused on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate, and schedule Field Service Technician's time.
• Maintain timely invoicing of work orders.
• Communicate with customers regarding quotes, job status, and scheduling.
• Assign jobs and work areas to Field Service Technicians based on their skills.
• Demonstrate leadership in field service operations.
• Coach and mentor field service employees on efficiency and productivity.
• Proactively seek customer feedback and respond to issues.
• Review repair work orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct and schedule in-house Service Technician training.
• Advise Service Operations Manager of customer complaints.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment for technicians.
• Meet regularly with Service Operations Manager to review performance and personnel matters.
• Ensure effective communication throughout the location.
• Foster an engaged work environment with accountability and teamwork.
• Lead activities to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Manage physical and financial resources effectively.
• Implement and improve safe business practices and processes.

Requirements

• Previous supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Strong technical knowledge.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or technical school education.
