About the position

The Regional Sales Manager (NW) at PALFINGER is responsible for expanding sales and building an account portfolio in the North West region of the United States. This role involves developing sales strategies, delivering presentations, generating leads, and negotiating contracts to meet sales goals. The position requires a proactive approach to managing customer relationships and analyzing sales data to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Expand existing sales and develop new sales in the North West region.
  • Build and manage an account portfolio in WA, OR, NV, UT, ID, WY, MT.
  • Grow business with leasing companies, fleets, and trailer businesses.
  • Develop and execute sales plans and strategies for profitability and service improvement.
  • Deliver sales presentations to prospective clients using demo trucks as needed.
  • Generate leads and meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Negotiate contracts with prospective clients.
  • Assist in determining pricing schedules for quotes and promotions.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine potential and inventory requirements.
  • Manage regional meetings and associations.
  • Attend meetings with vendors and suppliers.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business to Business (B2B) Sales.
  • Prior experience in truck equipment or truck sales is preferred.
  • Proficient in Windows applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, sales techniques, and customer service principles.
  • Experience in media production and communication techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with logical reasoning abilities.
  • Experience in team collaboration and building.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and influencing outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Willingness to travel to various states for customer meetings and trade shows.
