About the position
The Field Service/NDE Technician at NOV Inc. is responsible for ensuring the safe operation, testing, calibration, and repair of NOV products at customer sites. This role involves direct interaction with customers, providing training, and performing field upgrades while adhering to company policies and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Interface with relevant departments to understand NOV products and their safe operation.
- Travel to customer sites for inspection, installation, commissioning, testing, calibration, repair, and training on NOV products.
- Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on proper operation.
- Communicate field failures and feedback reports to appropriate departments.
- Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
- Perform inspection of equipment/parts and provide training to other technicians.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment and perform or arrange for calibration.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 2 years' NDE experience in Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant, Ultrasonic Shear Wave, and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Ability to obtain a valid passport.
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
