About the position
The Field Service Representative at Schneider Electric plays a crucial role in providing preventative maintenance and repair services on customer-owned ASCO equipment. This position focuses on delivering high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction while working in various dynamic environments. The role offers a flexible home-based work schedule with a guaranteed 40-hour work week, including opportunities for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
- Manage service administration and reporting, including service order generation and inventory reviews.
- Execute installation, maintenance, and repair on customer-installed equipment.
- Participate in job training for ATS maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Identify new service opportunities during customer site visits.
Requirements
- Job-related military service or Technical School Certification in a related field.
- Experience with Automatic Transfer Switches, Power Control Systems, or low and medium voltage power applications.
- Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and one-line diagrams.
- Proficiency in using test equipment to troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver's license and ability to move service equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Nice-to-haves
- Proof of certifications or willingness to complete CPR/First Aid/AED training and PPE training.
- Basic knowledge of ATS operation and sequence of operation.
