About the position

The Field Service Representative is responsible for assisting in the daily workflow of the Service group, which includes scheduling RMAs, conducting validation tests, and performing service calls. This role involves providing root cause analysis, repairing parts and assemblies, and maintaining detailed repair procedures. The representative will also provide field support, keep records of service activities, and ensure compliance with ISO procedures to prevent and document quality problems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the daily workflow of the Service group, including scheduling RMAs, validation tests, and service calls.
  • Provide root cause analysis data to applicable departments.
  • Repair parts and assemblies, performing mechanical tasks.
  • Write detailed repair procedures and/or test reports and maintain them in the Test Procedure Library/Standards Library.
  • Write RMAs for units to be returned for repair or credit and prepare sales orders for RMA repairs.
  • Provide field support, including on-site diagnostics, repairs, part sales, and customer presentations.
  • Keep records of service calls, sales orders, RMAs, warranties, and credits as directed and required.
  • Initiate action to prevent problems, document quality issues, and contribute to problem solutions following ISO procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience in gear trains, clutches, brakes, and other mechanical elements and/or electronic systems.
  • Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics and perform diagnostics of hydraulic and electronic systems.
  • Basic/entry knowledge of mechanical and electronic elements systems.
  • Basic knowledge of troubleshooting mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Basic ability to gather data, write reports, and present findings.
  • Must be able to travel as required and directed.
