About the position

The Field Service Specialist (FSS) is responsible for providing technical service, preventive maintenance (PM), and installations of coffee, espresso, and other beverage equipment at customer locations. This role requires problem-solving skills and hands-on work, with a flexible schedule to address immediate service needs, including potential overtime and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Completes regular on-site service, PMs, and installations of beverage equipment.
• Documents service calls by completing paperwork on-site and updating the CRM system.
• Programs coffee and espresso equipment according to customer specifications.
• Instructs customers on the proper use of machines and cleaning protocols.
• Troubleshoots equipment issues both over the phone and in the field.
• Provides routine maintenance on espresso machines, coffee grinders, and coffee brewers.
• Maintains and organizes service vehicles and parts inventories.
• Completes shop work on machines when not in the field.
• Engages in continuing education as required.

Requirements

• People-oriented with exceptional interpersonal and service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• 1 year of experience as a technician preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic technical abilities in routine maintenance, cleaning, equipment programming, and troubleshooting.
• Team-driven with effective collaboration and communication skills.
• Competent in coffee preparation and brewing equipment operations.
• Demonstrated teaching ability and a passion for learning.
• Strong motivation and time management skills.
• Flexibility in prioritization.
