About the position

Ampcus Inc is seeking a highly motivated Field Service/Start-Up Engineer to join our talented team in Hillsboro, OR. This position involves performing on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, ensuring that all equipment is functioning optimally and efficiently. The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting equipment problems, maintaining accurate records and reports, and coordinating activities with peers, supervisors, and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions. The role requires ordering and installing parts, responding to emergency service calls, and instructing customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance. Additionally, the engineer will perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed, and must remain current on equipment and tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials. The incumbent will also be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property, including vehicles and tools. It is essential for employees to maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both Ampcus Inc and customers to retain credentials for being on customer sites. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer interface skills, as well as a thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of company equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
  • 0+ year previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
  • Excellent customer interface skills is required
  • Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools
  • Thorough understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair and/or installation of company equipment and company procedures are required
