About the position

The Field Service Technician for the 1st Judicial District provides comprehensive IT support for the Idaho Supreme Court, focusing on troubleshooting and maintaining computer systems in courtroom and office environments. This role involves managing local computing infrastructure, responding to service tickets, and ensuring that technology solutions align with user needs. The technician will work closely with IT leadership and court staff to deliver timely support and maintain operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Perform computer troubleshooting in courtroom and office environments, including desktop, portable, and remote devices.
  • Manage and maintain local computing infrastructure and devices within assigned districts.
  • Provide responsive and timely end-user customer support while prioritizing daily tasks and projects.
  • Diagnose problems and provide break/fix solutions in accordance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot standard user desktop/laptop computing hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Coordinate and migrate customer data from decommissioned devices to new equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating user account information and group permissions.
  • Monitor service desk incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to test, troubleshoot, and validate new hardware and applications.

Requirements

  • Three years of IT support experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows 2016 and 2019 based servers.
  • Knowledge of enterprise video conferencing systems.
  • Knowledge of basic network configuration and troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of court processes and court information systems preferred.
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory and policy management preferred.
