About the position

The Field Service Technician - Analyzers at ABB is responsible for providing technical support and executing field service activities related to Measurement and Analytics products. This role involves hands-on execution of projects, compliance with safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service delivery. The position requires collaboration within the field service team and offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide knowledge of and conduct work activities in compliance with the ABB HSE (Health, Safety and Environment), ABB Way, and Safety Manual & Safety policy.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable product line warranties and accomplish effective warranty administration.
  • Responsible for hands-on execution of projects including startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive and unplanned maintenance of Measurement and Analytics products.
  • Perform administrative functions such as writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, and completing reports for customers.
  • Exercise good judgment in controlling costs and expenditures of company funds.
  • Strive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction in all transactions and relationships.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Instrumentation and or Analyzer applied sciences OR a High School Diploma.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering / field service experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% as required.
  • Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid passport and driver's license.
  • Technical skills in startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive, and unplanned maintenance of products including flow, pressure, temperature, level meters and continuous water analyzers.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Knowledge of ABB flow computers and their measurement and control application(s).
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
