About the position

The Field Service Technician role at Hexagon involves working with advanced technology in mining environments to enhance efficiency and productivity. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that Hexagon's mining technology solutions operate effectively at client sites, providing training and support, and performing repairs and installations of electronic systems and communications equipment. This position offers the chance to work with a diverse team and travel internationally while contributing to the mining industry's safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Hexagon Mining technology solutions operate effectively at client mine sites.
• Provide training, instruction, and advice to customers on the effective use of Hexagon Mining technology solutions.
• Repair, install, configure, commission, and support electronic and microprocessor-based systems and radio communications equipment.
• Identify and resolve issues for equipment based on customer mine sites and on HxGN's premises.

Requirements

• Demonstrated customer service experience.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems.
• Work experience in on-site installation, system configuration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair in industries such as electronics, radio, television, automotive, or mining.
• Substantial experience in supporting, diagnosing, and troubleshooting diverse environments with a focus on electronic/electrical repairs.
• Year 12 Senior Certificate or equivalent.
• Trade certificate or equivalent in Electronics, Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation, or Communications.
• Manual car driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge/understanding of LANs and WANs.
• Experience working with Linux OS Command Line Interface.
