About the position

The Field Service Technician for Coffee & Espresso Machines at Smart Care Solutions is responsible for providing high-quality service and support for specialty coffee equipment and espresso machines. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction through effective service delivery, and maintaining professional relationships with clients. The technician will work primarily on the second shift and is expected to demonstrate technical skills and a commitment to ongoing education in equipment operation and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional, courteous service to customers.
  • Provide reactive 24-hour service including troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and resolution of equipment issues.
  • Perform timely repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance on commercial restaurant equipment.
  • Maintain current knowledge of equipment and broaden technical skill-set.
  • Order and schedule delivery of repair parts and manage inventory.
  • Accurately record and complete work orders and maintain documentation.
  • Interact effectively with internal teams including dispatch, management, and warehouse staff.
  • Focus on customer needs and develop positive relationships while executing solutions.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and keep service vehicle clean.

Requirements

  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
  • Knowledge of basic electricity including amperage, voltage, and resistance.
  • Ability to read and utilize a multimeter and basic equipment schematics.
  • Familiarity with basic tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to workplace changes and maintain good attendance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with coffee and espresso machines.
  • Previous field service experience in a technical role.
