About the position

The Automation Field Technician / Journeyman Electrician role at ChampionX involves providing technical support and performing installations and repairs of electrical systems and equipment. This position emphasizes safety and offers opportunities for career advancement within a growing company.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderately complex customer technical support activities under general supervision.
• Assist with on-site installations, check-out, and emergency repairs.
• Diagnose and solve electrical problems using electrician trade skills.
• Install Spirit Smarten Controllers and related equipment.
• Create and assemble components as required.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document maintenance and repairs.
• Interact with other trades and work areas to complete assignments.
• Provide technical electrical expertise to mechanics and facilities teams.
• Contribute to the department's continuous improvement culture.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Oklahoma Journeyman Licensed Electrician.
• 4 years of experience in the field.
• Ability to perform moderately complex pulls and installs independently.
• Strong customer relations skills, including the ability to explain and train.
• Knowledge of proper use of hand tools and wiring/cabling.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Professional interaction with customers and coworkers.
• Effective planning and organization skills.
• Ability to work unsupervised and use a computer for communication and data access.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Spirit Smarten Controllers or similar equipment.
• Additional certifications in electrical systems or safety training.
