About the position

The Field Service Technician II role at Leidos involves providing customer support through the installation, modification, and repair of complex security equipment and systems. This position requires travel to various customer sites, both domestically and internationally, and demands a strong focus on customer service and teamwork. The technician will work in a 24/7 environment, responding to urgent issues and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

Responsibilities

  • Perform customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
  • Conduct on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order.
  • Isolate equipment start-up malfunctions and take corrective action.
  • Perform ad-hoc and predetermined work assignments with instructions.
  • Follow all established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
  • Manage resources, maintain schedules, and coordinate all repair activities in priority sequence to ensure adherence to contractual service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Work in a customer environment with systems operated in a 24/7 environment requiring immediate response times.
  • Accept and update work orders in CRM systems such as Salesforce, Maximo, and GURU.

Requirements

  • Related trade experience (electrical, electronic, mechanical) or military training (electrical, mechanical, electronics).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience directly involved in troubleshooting and field repair of electrical and electronic systems and equipment.
  • Computer literacy; competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong orientation for customer focus and teamwork.
  • Ability to pass an in-depth background check (TSA eQIP).
