About the position

The Field Service Technician at Amada America, Inc. is responsible for supporting customers with Amada Punch Presses and other general fabricating machines in the Macon, GA territory. This role involves installation, service, operational training, and troubleshooting of various equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction and effective machine operation.

Responsibilities

  • Support customers with Amada Punch Presses and other fabricating machines.
  • Perform installation, service, and operational training for customers.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems.
  • Follow layout drawings and blueprints for equipment installation.
  • Complete daily service reports and weekly expense reports.
  • Manage the total equipment installation process at customer sites.
  • Provide customer training on operation, applications, software, and part programming capabilities.
  • Utilize Amada applications software for line control and part programming.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a 2-year degree with related work experience preferred.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, Volt/Ohm meter, and Oscilloscope.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Excellent customer relations and follow-through skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with stamping presses and automated material loading/unloading machines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
