About the position

The Field Service Technician at American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is responsible for delivering exceptional maintenance services to commercial facilities. This role involves completing service tickets in a designated territory, ensuring high-quality execution of tasks, and maintaining professional communication with team members and customers. The technician must be flexible, cooperative, and uphold safety standards while working independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that changes and problems get documented and communicated.
• Carry out assigned tasks and work orders with minimum direct supervision.
• Maintain clear lines of professional communication with Lead Technician(s), Field Supervisor(s), Field Manager(s), and office staff on open issues and progress of all work assigned.
• Successfully execute assigned programs/work orders as they relate to cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area.
• Effectively document and communicate work required and executed in the field.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including 'on-call' availability.
• Ability to travel within a specified radius to customer sites.

Requirements

• 5 plus years of experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, drywall repair, and flooring repairs.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Related vocational education or certifications preferred.
• Proficient computer and mobile phone skills (preferably iOS and Android).
• Intermediate proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings.
• Proven mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to provide own hand tools and toolbox suitable for the job.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and apply up to 200 pounds of torque.
• Ability to work bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with commercial property maintenance.
