About the position
The Field Service Technician role at Meyers Warehouse involves providing on-site support to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing electrical and mechanical issues related to tractor trailers. Responsibilities
- Provide field service support to customers in various locations.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical issues.
- Install, maintain, and repair 12-volt electrical systems.
- Analyze equipment performance and recommend improvements or upgrades.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, including air bag repairs and semi tire repair and replacement.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide inventory for equipment and parts.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a field service technician or truck/trailer mechanic is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be able to work in various environments and adapt to changing work conditions.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (1 year preferred).
- Willingness to travel (25% preferred).
