About the position

The Field Service Technician role at Kavaliro involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for a government organization in Kissimmee, Florida. The technician will be responsible for installing and configuring software and hardware, ensuring efficient operation of computer systems, and maintaining network configurations. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure various applications and tools, including SQL clients and VPN clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware related issues efficiently.
• Maintain and service computer hardware and software systems.
• Manage network configurations, including LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN.
• Document daily logs and maintain organizational records.
• Work on special projects with minimal management intervention.
• Adapt to specific situations and demonstrate flexibility in work.
• Communicate effectively with users to guide them through problem-solving processes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Reliable transportation to travel to various facilities.
• Extensive knowledge of hardware, software, and network configurations.
• Demonstrated experience with computer hardware, operating systems, and software.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for computer hardware, software, and network problems.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and Active Directory.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Associates degree in a relevant discipline desirable.
• Computer-related certifications (A+, Network+, Microsoft certifications) highly desired.
• Knowledge or certifications in virtual environments (Citrix or other) is a plus.
