About the position

The Field Service Technician role at Curry Supply involves providing truck repair services to customers, supporting the Service and Warranty department's expansion. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various equipment, including hydraulic and electrical systems, while ensuring effective communication with management and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly familiarize oneself with the entire Curry Supply product line to enable effective and efficient equipment repairs.
  • Diagnose technical problems and determine proper corrective actions.
  • Listen to client complaints and assist in addressing issues.
  • Troubleshoot to identify and isolate failed equipment components.
  • Repair hydraulic equipment.
  • Repair electrical equipment.
  • Repair crane equipment.
  • Replace compressor components.
  • Maintain and document accurate service reports.
  • Build positive relationships with customers and resolve challenges in a professional manner.
  • Employ advanced multi-tasking skills.
  • Coordinate specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments.
  • Abide by current laws and organizational policies to promote a harassment-free workplace.
  • Cooperate with and support adherence to all internal policies and procedures.
  • Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor as requested.
  • Respond to inquiries relating to his/her area within given time frames.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in automotive technical field, automotive service, business, or equivalent years of related field experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in auto repair, truck body, oil, and gas, and/or mining equipment repair is required.
  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
  • Effective communication and verbal skills with a customer service focus.
  • Ability to manage urgent deadlines in a challenging environment.
  • Proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills.
  • Excellent auto mechanical repair skills.
  • Knowledge in auto electrical, hydraulic systems, compressors, and crane repairs.
  • Proficient PC skills, including Internet; visual and auditory skills.
