About the position

The Field Service Technician at Atlas Copco Compressors LLC plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality service to customers by performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on air compressors and related equipment. This position requires a strong focus on customer satisfaction and involves working independently in various industrial environments. The technician will also participate in ongoing training and development to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low pressure blowers.
  • Set, install, and pipe compressor systems.
  • Pressure wash and clean the customer's equipment pad including skids, coolers, and tanks.
  • Communicate with customers and the Service Manager regarding services performed and present options for repairs or upgrades.
  • Complete all service-related documentation including service reports and warranty forms.
  • Attend training at the Air Academy and train with Senior Service Technicians.
  • Promote and practice proper safety procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Provide high levels of customer service and respond to customer needs.
  • Participate in a rotating 24/7/365 on-call pool with other Technicians, including possible overnight travel.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical fields.
  • Experience with maintenance, overhaul, and repair of industrial equipment, including electrical, hydraulics, and/or pneumatics.
  • Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with ownership of meeting customer needs.
  • Proficient in using computers for work orders and ordering parts.
  • Valid driver's license and fluent in English.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; certifications such as EPA Certification are a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in HVAC is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and work in industrial environments with temperature extremes.
