About the position

As a Field Service Technician Apprentice at Tanknology, you will engage in an apprentice-style program designed to provide comprehensive training and certification. This role involves working on job sites to perform various testing, installations, and repairs related to fuel storage tanks and piping systems, contributing to environmental protection efforts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and surveys
• Perform leak tests on fuel storage tanks and piping systems
• Install equipment and test tank gauge systems
• Enter and analyze test results, communicating findings to the Operations team
• Manage and report inventory of parts and supplies on your company vehicle

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude with experience in trades (HVAC, plumbing, mechanics, electricians, carpenters, or cable technicians preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, bending, kneeling)
• Comfortable climbing 20 ft extension ladders multiple times daily
• Willingness to undergo DOT physical, drug screening, DMV check, and background check
• Basic computer skills for data entry
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to travel across multiple states, occasionally staying overnight
