About the position

Actalent is seeking a Field Service Technician to join their team in Oak Creek, WI. This role involves significant travel and requires a strong understanding of control systems, as well as proficiency in using digital meters and configuration software. Technicians will work in a comfortable cubicle space when not on the road, promoting a balanced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform instrument, PLC, and HMI configuration.
• Perform start-ups and electrical troubleshooting.
• Lay out, install, and assemble control devices and related equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Provide training and technical support to clients on equipment usage.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance system functionality.
• Maintain detailed service records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and standards.

Requirements

• Associate of Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years of related work experience.
• Basic understanding of control systems, digital meters, configuration software, and digital communications.
• Experience with mechanical and electronic troubleshooting.
• Ability to use digital meters and configuration software effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Siemens control systems.
