About the position

The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing on-site support, maintenance, and repair services for various equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in the field. The technician will work closely with clients to ensure their equipment operates efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of Building Equipment and Life Safety systems.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to diagnose equipment issues.
  • Perform assessments of equipment operations and determine necessary repairs.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs performed, and parts used.
  • Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs and service updates.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve service processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology related to field service operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and mechanical components.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
  • Experience with pumps, generators, and associated equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and electrical infrastructure systems is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in various environments while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client locations as required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with pumps, generators, and associated equipment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with HVAC and electrical infrastructure systems is a plus.
