About the position
The Field Services Representative I at Builders FirstSource is responsible for addressing construction service and product issues directly at customer sites. This entry-level position focuses on resolving customer complaints regarding product quality and reliability efficiently and cost-effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company standards.
Responsibilities
- Investigates and examines the condition of company building workmanship and products on the customer's site based on customer concerns.
- Recommends replacement or repair of defective products according to customer service guidelines.
- Negotiates and approves third-party repairs or adjustments and inspects completed work for quality adherence.
- Plans and paces own work efficiency to meet productivity goals.
- Observes all safety procedures to prevent injury and may recommend changes to improve safety practices.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
Nice-to-haves
- Bilingual in Spanish.
