About the position
The Field Service Technician position at PRO-VISION Video Systems involves installing and outfitting emergency and commercial vehicles with advanced video and recording systems. This role requires a self-driven and detail-oriented individual who can work independently while traveling extensively across the United States. The technician will be responsible for ensuring high-quality installations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform 12 volt vehicle upfitting/outfitting of emergency vehicles, including fire trucks, ambulances, police cars, and various commercial vehicles.
- Install GPS antennas, DVRs, monitors, external system recording triggers, and both exterior and interior cameras.
- Work directly with customers to ensure the completion of installations and services.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable.
- Prior vehicle installation or up-fitter experience preferred, such as installing emergency lighting, two-way mobile radios, GPS equipment, antennas, or other electrical equipment.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Ability to perform physical duties required for installation, including lifting 75 lbs and 35 lbs overhead, and fitting in/under semi-confined spaces.
- Ability to alternate from sitting to standing, climb steps/ladders, crouch, and kneel as needed.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with emergency vehicle installations.
- Familiarity with video recording and software solutions.
