About The Position

The Field Engineering team at Elastic is focused on developing and maintaining a custom platform that enhances customer content management, GenAI assistants, and technical support cases. This role involves utilizing Elasticsearch to create a personalized experience for users, processing numerous cases daily, and addressing known issues through automated analysis and global case routing.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of industry experience in a full-stack or DevOps role with Cloud technologies.
  • Ability to handle cross-team partnerships and develop collaborative relationships.
  • Motivation to identify and address root causes affecting collaborator support.
  • Empathy for users of the tools and services developed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in distributed systems design and development using Typescript, Node.js, and React.
  • Familiarity with 3rd party Cloud hosting services (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of serverless infrastructure.
  • Experience with open-source software and source control (GitHub).
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Helm, Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Experience with continuous integration and build systems.
  • Previous experience integrating with Salesforce.
  • Prior experience with Elasticsearch is recommended.
  • Experience building and operating DoD Impact Level 4 or above cloud service environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop frontend and backend code primarily in Typescript, Node.js, and React.
  • Collaborate with other Software Engineers to clarify requirements and enhance platform functionality.
  • Work directly with collaborators to understand technical implementation and assist with enablement content.
  • Manage multiple software projects simultaneously.
  • Assist in resolving internal platform issues.
