About the position

The Field Specialist position at the University of Illinois involves training community behavioral health staff on the IM+CANS model and other clinical initiatives. The role requires providing ongoing coaching and support, serving as a Subject Matter Expert for new service initiatives, and ensuring compliance with service policies. The position is primarily focused on enhancing the skills of providers in the behavioral health sector through effective training methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver web-based and on-site training for the IM+CANS assessment and treatment planning tool.
• Integrate the IM+CANS into Systems of Care work and support organizations' staff and leadership.
• Train providers on newly launched Medicaid services to aid in development and implementation.
• Engage with Medicaid enrolled providers to assess challenges and build strategies for effective implementation.
• Collaborate with the Compliance Coordination team to ensure provider compliance with service policies.
• Develop training on intermediate and advanced use of the behavioral health assessment tool for effective treatment planning.
• Provide feedback as a Subject Matter Expert on new services and IM+CANS implementation efforts.

Requirements

• Master's degree in social work or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1-3 years of Behavioral Health Services (Clinical) experience.
• IM+CANS trainer level certification within 90 days of hire.
• SOC trainer certification within 120 days of hiring.
• Illinois clinical licensure.
• LPHA status pursuant to 89ILAC 140.453.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with IM+CANS, IM-CAT, ANSA, FAST or TCOM.
• Experience in training preferred.
