The Field Supervisor (Math) position at Fortune School of Education involves overseeing and mentoring beginning teachers in a supportive educational environment. Responsibilities

• Conduct 1-2 formal observations in person per trimester.
• Conduct 1-2 video observations remotely per trimester.
• Engage in 2 informal collaborations with teachers, which can be in-person, via phone, or remote.
• Review and grade lesson plans and final intern reflection submissions.
• Provide resources for addressing the needs of English Learners and Students with Special Needs.
• Work collaboratively as part of a professional team.

Requirements

• Master's degree in education or a related field from a regionally accredited university.
• A clear California teaching credential - Single Subject: Math OR a California Administrative Services credential.
• Exemplary record of teaching experience.
• Successful experience coaching/mentoring beginning teachers.
• Experience utilizing the latest research-based strategies in critical pedagogy and culturally sustaining pedagogy.
• Ability to guide district interns in the development and use of standards-based assessments.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with alternative forms of assessment for K-12 grade levels.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
