About the position
The Field Support Engineer is responsible for direct customer facing activities in support of technical services onsite for the Houston Methodist Hospital System. This includes but is not limited to, biomedical service support, representation of NKA technical services in meetings, or general response to escalated issues.
Responsibilities
- Support of biomedical services for NKA products within the Houston Methodist Hospital System.
- Conducting meetings with the hospital technical teams.
- Conduct trainings and technical tips and recommendations in support of biomedical staff.
- Act as a technical conduit/liaison between NKA and Houston Methodist.
- Project manage or act as the technical lead for any NK projects at the hospital, such as updates and remediations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.
- Duties may be modified or assigned at any time based on business need.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, biomedical engineering or related discipline; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience of related software, hardware and medical device; experience in a clinical engineering capacity is preferred.
- Extensive understanding of hospital IT functions, infrastructure issues and medical systems integration desired.
- Experience working effectively in a live clinical environment.
- Client relationship management experience.
- A high degree of experience in a high touch customer focused technical organization.
