The Ribbon Field Support Engineering Technical Specialist will provide engineering and technical support to Ribbon customers for the installation, management, and maintenance of Ribbon's optical and data telecommunications products. Position will enact in-depth configuration and troubleshooting of Ribbon's optical DWDM networks along with Layer-2, Layer-3, IP/MPLS networks utilizing industry-standard test equipment. Interface with Tier 3 support teams at Ribbon R&D centers when necessary to resolve hardware and software problems. Perform equipment and network management SW upgrades. Provide technical support for Ribbon Field Engineers.
