The Field Support Specialist position at Hulcher Services, Inc. is an entry-level administrative role focused on coordinating field activities through high-volume call handling. The specialist will manage internal and external customer orders, ensuring effective communication with various departments to facilitate project mobilization and demobilization. This role requires proficiency in computer systems and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, reviews, and documents high-volume internal customer calls to process requests.
  • Contacts field operations and sales personnel for information and directions regarding job activities.
  • Coordinates transportation of equipment to customer locations with Transportation/Permit staff.
  • Processes forms for state and local permits to move equipment.
  • Monitors jobs and resolves issues with internal customers and state/local agencies.
  • Documents equipment and personnel location, hours worked, and availability.
  • Maintains location and status of equipment via mapping software and job logs.
  • Logs information and keeps up-to-date records in various databases.
  • Documents and distributes First Alert accident reports after hours.
  • Monitors and documents email transactions into appropriate job logs in real-time.
  • Available 24/7/365 to provide clarification and coverage as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal regulations governing equipment movement.
  • Basic understanding of company operating systems and practices.
  • Ability to multi-task and update computer programs.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, including active listening.
  • Satisfactory judgment on decisions relating to equipment sales and operations.
  • Ability to handle personal stress and stressful situations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with wrecking, mechanical, and hazardous material concepts.
  • Positive attitude and warm, engaging personality.
  • Adept at making additional sales when possible.

Benefits

  • Full-time position with competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.50 to $21.50 per hour.
