About the position

The Field Technical Service Representative at Hewlett Packard is a customer-facing role focused on providing hardware support and related services for HP's Print Products customers. This position requires on-site work at customer locations, specifically in the Walnut Creek, CA area, and involves installation, repair, and relocation of various HP printers. The role demands a proactive approach in a fast-paced environment, ensuring customer satisfaction while managing technical service events and understanding the financial implications of service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high level Customer satisfaction by clarifying Customer needs and ensuring that they are met.
• Handle Customer-relation problems promptly and appropriately, escalating issues according to established procedures.
• Perform installation, repair, and relocation of HP printers and related technology on customer sites.
• Configure hardware, software, and simple network components as needed.
• Work with escalation personnel to assist in technical action plans for print issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; college preferred.
• Technical/mechanical printer hardware repair experience.
• Demonstrated technical/mechanical aptitude for learning new technology.
• Valid CA driver's license required.
• Ability to bend, crawl, stoop, sit, lift and move 50 pounds of weight.
• Availability to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime.
