About The Position

The Field Technician position at ONE Gas involves performing construction and maintenance work related to pipeline systems. This role requires hands-on operation of various tools and equipment, as well as routine maintenance of vehicles and equipment. The technician will also respond to customer-related orders and emergency situations, ensuring safety and compliance with company and governmental procedures.

Requirements

• Knowledge of use, function, and maintenance of manual tools and equipment applicable to the position.
• Knowledge of construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution pipeline systems.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Understanding of company and governmental operating/safety procedures.
• Applicable driver's license and Qualified Plastic Fusion Technician certification.

Nice To Haves

• CDL preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of software.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction and maintenance operating work related to a pipeline system.
• Load, unload, and operate tools and equipment including pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, and air compressors.
• Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including fueling and changing oil.
• Investigate customer-related orders and emergency situations, such as low pressure calls and leaks.
• Ensure regular and reliable attendance in performance of job duties.
