About the position
The Field Technician position at Spectrum is an entry-level role focused on delivering essential technology services to customers. Technicians will be responsible for installing, repairing, and educating customers on their Spectrum services while providing exceptional customer service. This role requires working independently in various outdoor conditions and using technical skills to solve problems and perform installations.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair services for residential customers.
- Educate customers on the proper use of Spectrum services and equipment.
- Perform installations, disconnects, downgrades, and upgrades.
- Complete reconnects as trained.
- Work independently with minimal supervision in the field.
- Use hand tools and navigate various working conditions.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to accurately measure distances using measuring tape.
- Experience working with hand tools.
- Strong communication and professionalism skills.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Critical thinking and reliability.
- Ability to interpret analytics from meters and handheld devices.
- Valid Driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
