About the position

EquipmentShare is seeking a Field Technician (Mechanic) specializing in Pump, Power, and HVAC systems to provide maintenance and repair services for both customer and company-owned equipment. This role involves working with advanced diagnostic tools and technology to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction. Technicians will have the opportunity to work on the latest equipment in the industry, contributing to a dynamic and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance and repair for a variety of Pump, Power & HVAC equipment.
  • Use technology to create, assign, and monitor work orders, track machine service intervals, and order parts.
  • Diagnose equipment issues using real-time data from various makes and models.
  • Travel to customer job sites for preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and oil-free air compressors.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures both in the shop and at customer locations.
  • Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and electronic documentation of work performed.
  • Assist with the pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
  • Adhere to OSHA requirements and safe job practices.

Requirements

  • Must own tools applicable to position.
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
  • Experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics.
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • High School diploma; Trade school certificate preferred.
  • Experience in field service, maintenance, and repair preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
