About The Position

The Field Technician at Spark light, a Cable One brand, plays a crucial role in connecting customers to their desired services by installing and troubleshooting customer service drops and outlets in both residential and business properties. This position emphasizes customer satisfaction, technical proficiency, and proactive service enhancements, ensuring optimal performance of communication services.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a good driving record in the state of application.
• Flexibility to work overtime and be on-call as needed.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to listen to customers and present solutions positively.
• Ability to work in small and confined areas, lift up to 80 lbs., work on a ladder, and in all weather conditions.
• At least 3 months of customer service or related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Install customer service drops or outlets in residential and business properties.
• Use electronic test equipment and online diagnostic tools to troubleshoot customer service issues.
• Diagnose and repair reception performance issues from the customer's equipment to the first distribution amplifier.
• Ensure proper upstream and downstream signal levels at each termination on the customer's premises.
• Suggest upgrades of existing services and educate customers on their new/existing equipment.
• Take on additional duties to help drive the company's purpose and fulfill brand principles.
