About the position
The IT Hardware Lab Test Technician role involves testing and troubleshooting hardware components from major manufacturers such as HPe, Dell, and Lenovo. The technician will be responsible for ensuring that hardware meets OEM standards and will perform basic troubleshooting during the quality assurance process. This position is essential for maintaining the functionality and reliability of IT hardware in the lab environment.
Responsibilities
- Identify Original Equipment Manufacturer (HPe, Dell, Lenovo) hardware and their functionality.
- Test hardware per OEM standard and test hardware boards.
- Receive parts, test parts, and test hardware boards.
- Perform basic troubleshooting if a potential issue occurs during the Q&A process.
- Configure ILO, IMM, and IDRAC settings.
- Ensure BIOS functionality and DIMS experience.
Requirements
- Knowledge of hardware components at the component level.
- Experience with server hardware and configurations.
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting during testing.
