Field Technician

About the position

The Installation Technician position at DIRECTV involves dispatching and servicing customers in the Bozeman, MT area. This role is crucial for connecting customers to advanced technology and providing exceptional customer service during installations. Technicians will work independently, installing and repairing equipment while educating customers about the services offered. Responsibilities

• Install and service customer satellite equipment both indoors and outdoors.
• Educate customers on the features and functionality of services provided.
• Verify all services are operational and demonstrate them to customers.
• Engage with customers to sell and bill video services during installations.
• Perform work in various environments including attics, basements, and crawl spaces, requiring physical agility.
• Use a company PC to retrieve and complete orders.
• Drive a company vehicle to various work locations and report directly to job sites.

Requirements

• Valid state driver's license, commercial license, or chauffeur's license appropriate for the vehicle driven.
• Satisfactory driving record check.
• Ability to work day, evening, or night shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-area work, which may include overnight stays.
• Ability to pass drug testing as mandated by state and federal requirements.
• Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting up to 80 pounds and performing work in uncomfortable positions.

• Experience in customer service or technical support roles.
