Field Technician

About the position

The Field Technician role at TEKsystems involves supporting healthcare-related hardware and software by installing, upgrading, and maintaining humanoid simulators at various medical clients, including nursing schools and universities. The position requires extensive travel throughout the United States, with technicians expected to be away from home Monday through Friday. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of networking, electronics, and IT, and be comfortable working independently while interacting with clients.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, and maintain humanoid simulators at medical-related clients.
• Travel throughout the United States to ensure simulators are functioning properly.
• Set up simulators to networks and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the simulators.
• Interact with clients and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Good understanding of networking, electronics, and IT.
• Experience with installation and maintenance of hardware/software.
• Familiarity with Windows 10 operating system.
• Ability to travel extensively and be away from home for up to 5 days if necessary.

Nice-to-haves

• 10 years of experience in a related field or a strong mindset with 1 year of experience.
• Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.
• Good customer service skills.
