About the position

The Bartender at Field's at the Wilderness is responsible for mixing and serving a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages to patrons, ensuring a pleasant and safe drinking environment. This role involves customer interaction, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness and organization at the bar.

Responsibilities

• Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to patrons.
• Collects money for drinks served.
• Arranges bottles and glasses to create an attractive display.
• Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks as needed.
• Takes food orders from guests.
• Checks identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
• Balances cash receipts at the end of shifts.
• Limits problems related to excessive drinking by persuading customers to stop drinking or arranging transportation for intoxicated patrons.
• Cleans glasses, utensils, and bar equipment, as well as work areas and tables.
• Takes beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons.
• Serves snacks or food items to customers seated at the bar.

Requirements

• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Knowledge of drink recipes and mixing techniques.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to handle cash and balance receipts accurately.
• Familiarity with age verification laws and responsible serving practices.
