About the position

As a Final Assembly Technician I at Artivion, Inc., based in Austin, Texas, you will play a crucial role in the production of On-X Mechanical Heart Valves within a cleanroom environment. Your responsibilities will include performing assembly operations, including sewing and packaging of heart valves according to specified guidelines. You will inspect materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products using a microscope to ensure adherence to quality standards. Additionally, you will maintain accurate production and inspection records, assist in monitoring, cleaning, and testing the cleanliness of the cleanroom environment, and batch process components for daily production requirements. You will be expected to fully master the sewing techniques for All Mitrals, Aortics, and Conform_X product lines, uphold a 'quality-first' mentality to meet production expectations and regulatory requirements, and adhere strictly to Clean Room Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regarding behavior and attire.

Responsibilities

  • Performing assembly operations, including sewing and packaging of heart valves according to specified guidelines.
  • Inspecting materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products using a microscope to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Maintaining accurate production and inspection records.
  • Assisting in monitoring, cleaning, and testing the cleanliness of the cleanroom environment.

  • Fully mastering the sewing techniques for All Mitrals, Aortics, and Conform_X product lines.
  • Upholding a 'quality-first' mentality to meet production expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhering strictly to Clean Room Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regarding behavior and attire.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Experience in inspection or assembly or similar intricate hand work, preferred.
  • Experience working within FDA & ISO manufacturing practices, preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office, internet, and email.
  • Ability to read and understand detailed manufacturing instructions and drawings.
  • Ability to use a microscope.
