About the position

The Final Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of printed circuit boards (PCBs) by conducting thorough inspections for any manufacturing flaws. This role involves using magnifying equipment to perform visual inspections, interpreting customer drawings, and maintaining detailed documentation of the inspection process. The Final Inspector plays a critical role in the production process by identifying non-conforming products and performing minor repairs as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all types of visual inspection related to PCBs using magnification equipment
  • Read and interpret customer drawings
  • Identify and segregate non-conforming product
  • Perform minor rework and repairs to identified defects
  • Perform final count of acceptable and rejected boards
  • Compare shop traveler quantity to final count and notify supervisor of discrepancies
  • Complete reject report, sign traveler, and input data into final log
  • Obtain final documentation package and move to the shipping department
  • Use calipers, pin gauges, and micrometers
  • Maintain a high attention to detail
  • Follow all departmental process procedures correctly
  • Complete all departmental documentation accurately
  • Complete quality checks when product arrives in and exits the department
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management and cross-train as needed to assist production

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to stand for the duration of shift
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, customer specifications, and procedures
  • Basic math, problem solving, interpersonal skills, and computer skills
  • Must possess interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Follow all safety measures
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous PCB experience preferred
