About the position

The Final Mile Site Leader is responsible for overseeing the coordination and communication between various teams involved in the delivery process, ensuring that procedures are followed and that customer service standards are met. This role involves direct interaction with haulers, delivery teams, and local client management, as well as maintaining relationships with vendors and addressing any shipping discrepancies or claims. The position requires a strong focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction within the logistics framework of Maersk.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate communication between Haulers, Delivery Teams, Flatbed Drivers, Call Center, and Local Client Management Teams.
  • Provide on-site presence to ensure compliance with procedures by Haulers and Delivery Teams.
  • Oversee the recruiting, processing, and performance management of Haulers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Ensure follow-up on shipping discrepancies, damaged goods, and in-home damage claims.
  • Interface with end customers to ensure effective in-home delivery.
  • Maintain monthly operation reports including statistics and customer service scores.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Last Mile Manager experience required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent mathematical skills for calculations such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
  • Ability to analyze technical and scientific journals relevant to the business and market.
  • Strong problem-solving and reasoning abilities.
