About the position

The Finance/Accounting Assistant at Greensboro ABC Board is responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including daily reconciliations, maintaining financial records, and ensuring accurate processing of payables. This role supports the financial operations of the organization by utilizing accounting software and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Daily reconciliation of store sales to the deposit report in Navision, noting any discrepancies.
  • Balance or assist in balancing bank statements for operating and merchant accounts.
  • Maintain a daily running balance of bank account.
  • Upload E-Licensee sales into FinTech.
  • Use Chart of Account to code payables, enter payables into accounting software for payment, print checks, and maintain check register.
  • Handle distiller payables.
  • Enter and track Fixed Assets.
  • Update depreciation monthly.
  • Balance weekly truck order to warehouse delivery.
  • Ensure invoices balance to transmittal sheets.
  • Assist with profit distributions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • At least five (5) years of accounting experience.
  • Experience with accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, specifically Microsoft Dynamics Navision.
