About the position

Fontainebleau Miami Beach is seeking a financial analyst to join our team. This role is crucial in analyzing financial information and preparing reports to maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial activities within the organization. Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within the organization.
  • Responsible for the recording of transactions to ensure adherence to generally accepted Accounting Principles and adherence to Corporate Master Accounting policy.
  • Prepare standard monthly journal entries and submit for review.
  • Review all Balance Sheet accounts for accuracy and completeness and explain any unresolved exceptions to the Corporate Chief Accounting Officer.
  • Compare monthly financial statement results with month end managerial results and explain all material differences.
  • Highlight and explain any Balance Sheet account with other than a normal balance in the current period workpapers.
  • Compare all liabilities that relate to tax returns with the return(s) for the appropriate period and note discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly all Balance Sheet account reconciliations with complete detail support and appropriate review and sign off as explained in the Master Accounting Policy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or combination of four years relevant education and experience preferred.
  • Two to four years related experience. Two years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
  • Ability to operate office equipment (i.e., computer, 10-key, copier, fax, and telephone).
  • Computer literate in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance of policies and procedures, job descriptions, daily memorandums, chemical labels, and other instructions.
