About the position

The Finance Analyst - FP&A role at ZS Associates involves analyzing financial performance to provide insights that support strategic decision-making within the Corporate FP&A team. The position requires a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent analytical skills, and effective communication of complex financial information. The analyst will prepare and analyze financial results, support senior leaders, and collaborate on enhancing reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, including variance analysis and key performance indicators.
  • Support senior company leaders across a range of activities from analysis and issue identification through to strategic initiatives.
  • Assist in annual and longer-term company planning.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide insights on variances to ensure alignment with financial goals.
  • Support enterprise teams and regional leadership with annual planning and monthly variance analysis.
  • Prepare analysis and presentations for key company meetings - Board of Directors, Management Committee, Principals Meetings, Regional Leadership Meetings.
  • Collaborate to enhance reporting capabilities and streamline processes.
  • Support ad-hoc projects and research for enterprise teams and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Finance or closely related field required, advanced degree welcomed.
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in financial analysis supporting internal business units or stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
  • Experience with financial software and ERP systems is desirable.
  • Excellent organizational and task management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and commercially and a willingness to dive down into the details.
  • Ability to work closely with senior leaders while retaining objective and professional finance perspective.
  • High motivation, strong work ethic and personal initiative.

Nice-to-haves

  • Exposure to Power BI, Anaplan, machine learning, or Alteryx are nice to have, but not required.
