About the position

The Financial Analyst position at Siemens Industry, Inc. is a hybrid role based in Southaven, MS, focusing on supporting the SI Logistics organization. The role involves monitoring and reporting costs, participating in month-end closing activities, assisting with cost accounting, and providing forecast and budget information. The analyst will work closely with the distribution center team to drive business improvements and ensure customer satisfaction, while also contributing to automation and improvement of reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Support data transparency and the monitoring, tracking and reporting of costs.
• Participate in month end closing activities including data compilation, journal entry preparation and general ledger review.
• Assist with Cost Accounting.
• Provide Forecast/Budget information.
• Participate in projects and cost improvement initiatives.
• Partner with the distribution center team to drive business improvements and ultimate customer satisfaction.
• Respond to business/management requests for ad hoc reports and analysis.
• Support adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements in all areas.
• Contribute to automation and improvement of reporting processes and everyday tasks.
• Identify root causes and generate solutions to support business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field
• 3-5+ years of related professional experience
• Cost Accounting experience - standard costing with labor and OH rate calculation
• Ability to effectively manage deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Highly developed analytical skills and detail-orientation
• Proficient Computer skills required in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
• Team-mindset with 'we can do it' mentality
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong sense of ownership
• SAP FICO proficiency
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Tableau highly preferred
• Knowledge of Snowflake and Hyperion
• Previous experience in business unit or business segment operational finance.

Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $53,760 - $92,160. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
