Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills for detailed analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of business information.
  • Level I: No experience required; training provided.
  • Level II: Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance, accounting, regulatory, or related field.

  • Understanding of utility operations and the regulatory/ratemaking process.
  • Knowledge of accounting and financial concepts, including internal controls.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while paying attention to detail and understanding the big picture.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, support, and coordination of financial forecasts, including budgets and strategic plans.
  • Evaluate the accuracy of forecast vs. actual results and refine processes for financial control.
  • Develop and maintain financial models that produce comprehensive financial statements.
  • Analyze agreements, tariffs, regulations, and policies to support implementation of changes.
  • Understand the impact of operational and financial decisions on financial statements and regulatory reporting.
  • Support the preparation and reporting of information for internal decision-making and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain professional relationships with employees, business associates, and stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
